Clean Energy Corps positions are available across the country,

Potomac, MD – August 25, 2022 | As a result of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that passed last November, the government invested $62 million in the Department of Energy (DOE). In addition to lowering energy costs for Americans, the goals of the funding include the development of new technologies through clean energy research, development and deployment. This means a reshuffling of some current DOE staff as well as the hiring of more than 1,000 people, according to Energy Secretary Jennifer M. Granholm. The DOE has launched the Clean Energy Corps in order to get the hiring done.
“We are reaching out to the nation’s diverse talent, at every stage of their careers, to join the Clean Energy Corps,” said DOE Secretary Granholm. “We want people who are passionate, who are driven, who are ready to work hard on the mission of a lifetime.”
At a recent training she led at the Department of Energy, Federal Jobs Expert Kathryn Troutman discovered how massive this effort is. The career fields involved include Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, Finance / Accounting, Grants / Contract Management, Human Resources, Information Technology / Cybersecurity, Legal, Legislative Affairs, Physical Science, Program and Portfolio Management, Project Management, Public Policy, Safety, and Occupational Health, among others.
To apply, candidates should visit the Clean Energy Corps application portal at:

There they will fill out a form to indicate areas of interest, as well as submit a resume. Instructions are to not include Personal Identifying Information in your resume, such as your date of birth, home address, social security number, and more, which are all specified at the portal. The Clean Energy Corps welcomes candidates who have served our country in other capacities, such as the military and the Peace Corps. This initiative has a commitment to hire a diverse group of individuals, as well as people with disabilities and residents in areas affected by climate change.
“The Infrastructure Act is creating thousands of new jobs, at the DOE and elsewhere,” noted Troutman.
“These are quality jobs with promotion potential, great benefits and challenges. When I taught the class for the DOE, they were just raving about all of the jobs. To achieve the DOE’s goals, they have to hire quality candidates. That could be you.”
