Stephen McKenna is a seasoned writer, editor, researcher, and writing teacher with over thirty years’ experience helping others tell their stories in the most compelling and effective ways, from entry to advanced levels. He holds a Ph.D. in English with a specialty in the history and theory of rhetoric, and a master’s in fine arts specializing in fiction and non-fiction writing. An expert in eighteenth century philosophy and communication theory, he has published extensively in the field of rhetoric, has edited for a university press, and consults on a wide array of complex research, writing, and editing projects for clients. When he’s not working, he serves as president of a local historic preservation nonprofit in Ellicott City, Maryland, where he lives with his wife in a very old house.
